    Family Support & Early Help

At Lord Street we endeavour to support not only our pupils but also the families within our school community.

Sometimes, you or your children may need extra support and we can help you with any worries you may have about your child’s education and wellbeing. There is nothing to be ashamed of in asking for help and we would encourage you to speak to us as we are here to help and support. Any advice and support that we offer will be confidential, although concerns relating to the safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.

Early Help, helps you to recognise what’s going well for you, where you may benefit from extra help, and who is the best person to work with you and your family to make this happen. This may be through an Early Help Assessment (EHA).

Through the Early Help process, school can offer support and also signpost pupils and families to external agencies in order to access more specialist support. We currently work very closely with agencies such as Lancashire’s Children & Family Wellbeing Team, Health, Housing, Children’s Social Care, Be Free (formerly PDVI), Barnardo’s and Young Carers.
