School Closure Information
School will be closed from Tuesday 5th January because of the COVID epidemic. We will still be open for vulnerable children and the children of critical workers.
The current definition for critical workers is shown in the attached pdf document.
If you have not yet told us you are a critical worker then please contact us on enquiries@lordstreet.lancs.sch.uk . Obviously requests now will need to be carefully considered given staffing levels in school.
The before and after school provision is charged as normal.
Remote Learning
All children will have access to a paper copy of home learning which will have been delivered by the end of January the 5th.
Teachers will support home learning via Dojo and Zoom.
A timetable will be sent via Dojo to support your child in structuring their remote learning. Lessons will be uploaded by 9.15am daily.
Teachers will be available on Dojo to support children during the working hours.
Please don't Dojo after 5pm. Zoom invites will be sent out via Class Dojo.
It is expected all children will engage with the learning- please use Dojo for support.

Problems with remote learning
If you are struggling with access to devices then we have received a number of laptops form the DFE which we will be able to lend out. Obviously, these are valuable items and will need to be covered against loss or damage on your personal home insurance.
We have a stock of SIM cards with 30GB of data, kindly donated by vodafone with for those needing support with internet access.

Safeguarding while we are in lockdown
The school has updated its safeguarding policy with the attached amendment. This takes into account safety in online learning, the loan of laptops and staff/child safety in live lessons.
