Could Your Business Make a Lasting Difference to a Local School?

     Become a School Governor

We are seeking committed individuals from local businesses to join our Governing Body to help shape the future of young people in our community.

As a school governor, you will play a vital role—bringing your professional skills, business insight and local knowledge to support and challenge school leadership, improve outcomes for pupils and ensure strong governance.

We currently have a vacancy for a Co-opted Governor at Lord Street Primary School. The Local School Committee ensures that the Trust’s vision, ethos, policies and priorities are enacted at a local level, based on the specific qualities and community characteristics of the school. As a Governor, you will play a vital role in supporting, questioning and challenging the school leadership team, holding them to account and providing assurance to the board. Bringing your professional skills, business insight and local knowledge, you will improve outcomes and aspirations of our young people and ensure strong governance is in place.

Being a school governor is a rewarding experience; you give back and make a difference to the young people in your school.  It’s a big responsibility, but you will know that you are using your professional experience to have an impact on the young people in your local community.
